Checked Baggage

  • Economy Class: 1 piece, max 23 kg.

  • Business & First Class: 2 pieces, max 32 kg each.

    • On long-haul business flights: 3 pieces allowed.

  • AlFursan Silver/Gold Members: Additional free baggage allowed.

  • Maximum size: 158 cm (total dimensions).

  • Oversized/Overweight (>32 kg): Treated as cargo.

Cabin (Hand) Baggage

  • Economy: 1 piece, max 7 kg.

  • Business & First Class: 1 piece, max 12 kg, plus a briefcase.

  • Personal items: Handbags, laptops, coats, and infant essentials allowed at no charge.

  • Dimensions: Handbags ≤ 56 x 45 x 25 cm; briefcase ≤ 45 x 20 x 35 cm.

  • Special rules: For flights to/from USA, Canada, and EU, food/milk for children, medicines, laptops, and certain items must be in a transparent bag ≤1 liter.

Baggage Upgrades & Extra Baggage

  • Guests can increase baggage allowance up to 32 kg via Saudia website/app.

  • Payment must be made online with a confirmed ticket; no refunds or changes allowed.

  • Prepaid excess baggage vouchers are valid for 1 year, non-refundable, and limited to specific routes.

Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Baggage

  • Report at airport on arrival and obtain a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) number.

  • Tracking: Via WorldTracer system.

  • Compensation: According to Montreal Convention and Saudia policy.

  • Time limits: Delayed baggage – within 21 days; damaged baggage – within 7 days.

Notes on Recent Updates

  • No official increase in baggage limits for 2024–2025.

  • Economy: still 23 kg per bag; Business/First: 32 kg per bag (up to 3 bags on long-haul business).
